socialism & capitalism defined (& judged)

Socialism does require a state (even though many here claim it doesn’t). Socialism means communal ownership of the means of priduction. That is only possible by means of capitalism (share holding), or by way of a big tyrannical entity, denying people their desires/wishes, for the sake of the greater whole (that does not get a say in what it wants: aforementioned desires/wishes again).
Capitalism refers to distributed ownership of the means of production (capitol goods), so not a single person building guitars in his shed (which was not even allowed in communist eadtern Europe, because all means of production wre owned by the state), but a group of people owning shares in a factory, with perhaps also a single empkoyee/artisan building the guitars, but now he can have more expensive tools, paid for him by the share holders
